Experimental future scenarios
Describing interactions between user and redefined product
The experimental future scenarios in this phase elaborate on the redefined concept as a result of the future practice scenario. The goal is to show the interaction between user and product, meaning what triggers certain behavior and how behavior is changed.
This type of scenario is meant as an exploration of what can be achieved by the concept, showing interactions that could happen between the future users and the concept.
Concept Scenario 1
As Kevin and his mother Caren enter the playroom, Kevin sees two other children playing with Lego. He really likes to play with these little bricks as well, but he does not feel like joining them and would rather play with his mother. He feels more comfortable in doing so. Caren knows that Kevin likes to make constructions, so she asks the supervising employee if there are any other types of bricks available for playing. The employee shows the storage boxes. One of them includes a pile of hexagonal bricks.
Kevin immediately grabs a couple of bricks and is amazed by the different colours and the size. These bricks are actually larger than the small Lego bricks, which inspires Kevin to make a construction as big as he possibly can. He starts connecting some bricks, but the construction fails to keep standing. His mother helps him, as she notices that Kevin forgot to make a foundation for his construction. As a result, the connections between the bricks are stronger and Kevin keeps adding more bricks to his construction. After a while, he created such a big construction, so that he is able to sit in it. As Kevin gazes around in his construction, Caren starts to smile. It is the biggest construction that her son has ever created.
Concept Scenario 2
Sara and her brother, who came to visit her in the hospital, are playing in the playroom. They find some hexagonal bricks on the floor and play with them, imagining that they are big stones. Therefore they step on the pieces and jump from one to another. Since his brother came from outside the hospital, his shoes are not hygienic, and therefore, he pollutes the bricks by stepping on them. After a while, they get bored of this play and decide to make animal shapes by attaching Creativibee pieces on the wall. Currently, the pedagogical employee is busy with other children and therefore does not pay attention to Sara and his brother. So while playing with the bricks and attaching them to the wall, they touch the dirty pieces with their hands and then touch their eyes and mouths. It is not healthy for children, especially for Sara, since her immune system is weak nowadays. Their mother realizes that and asks them to put away the pieces and play with other toys. They are getting very upset because they do not want to stop playing with the pieces.
